Dural Flexibal Self-Levelling Support Pedestals can be raised a further 20mm by using one of these Dural Flexibal PM20 Raising Extension Pieces.
You can only use one Dural Flexibal PM20 Raising Extension Piece per pedestal to add 20mm of height onto the original pedestal height. These extension peices come in packs of 25.
Please note: these raising pieces will only fit Flexibal BA1, BA3, and BA5 pedestal supports. If you need to extend your Flexibal MB1 support pedestal, please use the PB05 Compensating Plate.
How to install Dural Flexibal Support Pedestals
Before you start to position the FLEXIBAL supports, the substrate must be prepared according to the respective circumstances and be have sufficient load-bearing capacity.
Suitable substrates include for example concrete, gravel/ chippings or wood. In the case of a gravel/chippings substrate, place 40 x 40 cm plates underneath the base elements of each support for additional stabilisation. In situations where surface water cannot seep directly into the ground, professional sealing along with sufficient incline should be provided. The sealing must be protected against damage by applying suitable means. Here we recommend the use of a drainage mat, for example DURABASE DD 80++.
Start by positioning the support on a corner. Select a FLEXIBAL support of an appropriate height and align it using the height adjusting ring. Check for equal height using a level so that the finished flooring will be straight. Any incline or possible unevenness will be automatically compensated by the self-levelling head.
Place the plates on the supports and check for correct height alignment once again. Do the same for the entire surface.
On peripheries, cut the base elements on the markings as needed and break out the supports on the head to make sure that installation of the plates up to the edge is not affected.
