Marmox Waterproof Corner Pieces are the ideal solution for sealing both internal and external corner floor junctions of Marmox Multiboard Tile Backer Board installations. Made from polyester fleece coated with TPE (Thermoplastic elastomer), these pre formed waterproof corners can be used in conjunction with the Marmox Self Adhesive Waterproof Tape, which is used to seal the joints and straight connections between boards.
Marmox Waterproof Corner Pieces are not self adhesive and should be fixed in place using a cement based tile adhesive before joints are sealed with Marmox self adhesive waterproof tape. These waterproof corners are supplied as single corners.
Installation Instructions:
- Paste an even and thin layer of cement-based tile adhesive onto the back of the corner piece and place into position.
- Press it into position with a trowel so that adhesive is just squeezed out at the edges. You must be confident that the entire surface is coated is bonded with no gaps. This ensures your installation stays waterproof.
- Scrape away any excess tile adhesive that has been squeezed out for a tidy job.
- Marmox Self Adhesive Waterproof Tape should be used to waterproof the gaps and joints when the tile adhesive has dried. This tape should overlap the Waterproof Corners by at least 5 cm.
